Obituary
John A. Blair, age 82 of Harrison, passed away October 10, 2010 at the Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.
The son of Brice Blair and Anna (Smithson) Blair was born July 14, 1928 in Dongola, Arkansas.
John was a member of the Grubb Springs Baptist Church and an amateur radio operator. He enjoyed wood carving, spending time with his family and he loved his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Willie Mae Blair; two brothers, Elton Blair and Albert Blair.
John Blair is survived by his sons, Randall Blair and wife Bonnie of Harrison and John R. Blair of Harrison; his daughter, Rhonda Purdy and husband Robert of Harrison; his sisters, Elberta Jones of Harrison, Vertie Lea Gregory of Dongola, AR., Allie Mae Jackson and Cleatus Mathis both of Harrison; his grandchildren, Kirstie Blair, Bailey Blair, and Sean Purdy.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Funeral Service will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Ricky Brisco officiating. Burial will be in Grubb Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jeff O'Neal, Mason Brisco, Dale Blair, Joe Terry, Sam Wickersham and Rick Bishop.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Bristol Pointe.
