Obituary
Joe Allen Thomas, age 72 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 in Jasper.
The son of Truman and Ava (Casey) Thomas was born on October 22, 1944 in Parthenon, Arkansas.
Joe was a member of the Class B State Championship team for Jasper and was very proud of their accomplishments. He was also recognized by the City of Jasper for his volunteer service to Bradley Park in 2010. Joe was also a member of Parthenon Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by 4 siblings, Betty Sue Gabbert of Compton, Arkansas, Jack Thomas of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Ann Stewart of Nixa, Missouri and John Thomas of Blue Springs, Missouri; many nieces and nephews and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.
A memorial Service will be held Thursday July 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jasper Athletic Program of the Parthenon Baptist Church.
