Joe V. Shields, age 78 of Harrison, AR passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Golden Living/Hilltop Nursing Center in Harrison.
The son of R. V. and Laura (Maxwell) Shields, was born November 17, 1929 in Spalding, NE.
Joe had lived in Harrison for 26 years, moving from Nebraska. He was a mechanic, owning and operating Joe's Truck Repair in Harrison.
His parents preceded him in death, along with his wife, Eunice Shields and brother, Bill Shields.
Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Joe W. and Susan Shields, of Harrison; grandson, Joe E. Shields, of Harrison; and his sisters, Bonnie Brott, of Seattle, WA, Mary Kaye Copeland, of Pyatt, and Judy Giles, of Sioux Falls, SD.
Viewing and visitation will be 2-5 P.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Cremation will follow.
