Obituary
Joseph William "Joe Bill" McAlpin, age 73 of Valley Springs, Arkansas went to meet his Lord Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.
The son of John Alden and Oltie (Cline) McAlpin was born January 1, 1941 in Valley Springs, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Kimberly and Laura McAlpin; his parents; and a sister, Bobbie Horn.
Joe Bill loved his family and spending time with friends. He was a heavy equipment operator, working from coast to coast during his career. He was a bulldogger and an avid horseman. He went to rodeos all over the country.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Horn) McAlpin of the home; son, Scott McAlpin and wife Michelle of Harrison; three grandsons, Justin McAlpin, Korte McAlpin and Taylor Briley; and a great-grandson, Jace McAlpin.
Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
There was a memorial service Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Amazing Grace Missionary Baptist Church at Western Grove with Pastor Jeff Corrigan officiating.
There was a visitation Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the church prior to the service.
