Obituary
Joe Kenneth Holt, Sr., age 73 of Vendor, AR, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 at his home in Vendor, AR.
The son of Otis and Rachel Florence (Smith) Holt, was born May 24, 1934 in Vendor, AR.
He had served in the U.S. Army, was a truck driver for Flexsteel, and was a heavy equipment operator. He loved riding his four wheeler and his new tractor, and also loved to hunt. He had been a lifelong resident of Newton County.
His parents preceded him in death, along with a brother, Wayne Holt, and a sister, Evon Flud.
Survivors are his wife of 36 years, Linda (Ricketts) Holt, of the home; his children, Joe Holt, Jr., of Vendor and Tana Rachel Butler and her husband, Seth, of Harrison; a sister, Oleta Haddock, of Vendor; one granddaughter, Miranda Holt; and many other relatives and friends.
Service 2 P.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery, at Vendor. Pallbearers are Robby Dotson, Nicky Holt, Randy Holt, Jimmy Holt, Steven Holt, and Glen Smith. Honorary pallbearer are Joe's construction co-workers.
Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
