Obituary
Joann Millikin, 86 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in Harrison. She was born June 6, 1929 in West Frankfort, Illinois to Raymond and Helen (Patchett) Medlin.
She was a resident of this area 24 years coming from Chicago, Illinois. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrison.
She received her Surgical RN degree at Barnes Jewish hospital in St. Louis and worked in that field for over 40 years before retiring from Alberto Culver. She enjoyed playing golf and traveling; and loved her Chicago Cubs and was one of their biggest fans, never missing a Cubs game when she lived in Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Ray Millikin; her son, Charles "Chuck" A. Millikin and her sister Judith Wheeler.
She is survived by her grandson, Thomas Charles Millikin of Missouri; her niece, Kathy Wheeler Dismore of Bella Vista, Arkansas; her nephew, Keith Wheeler of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughter-in-law, Rachel R. Millikin of Harrison, Arkansas.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Hills, Harrison AR or the Lymphoma & Leukemia Foundation.
