JoAnn Martin Methvin Mhoon Davis , 88, of Harrison, Arkansas entered the gates of heaven Saturday, May 6, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was born December 5, 1934 at Verona, Arkansas in Marion County. JoAnn was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to many people.

JoAnn was an inspiration to her family and to all who knew her. She was a Christian, outgoing, outspoken, strong willed, wise, loving, kind, helpful, fun loving, advice-giving, adventurous woman and so much more. She gave 100% to everything that she did. She touched the lives of so very many people.

During her long and active life on earth she had several rewarding career paths including restaurant owner in Little Rock, motel owner and operator in McGehee, real estate agent in Hope and owner of Affordable Realty in Harrison, AR.

JoAnn was a long-term member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Harrison. She was the hands and feet of Jesus with a heart of gold and a heart for God. She was active in United Methodist Women and dedicated to all UMW's many mission projects. JoAnn was a volunteer piano player for many years for St. Paul's, Bellefonte and Valley View Methodist Churches and enjoyed it very much. JoAnn was an active member of Eastern Star for over 30 years and served at different times as State Grand Organist, Arkansas Matron Electa #25 and State District Deputy. In Hope she participated in the Adult Basic Literacy program where she enjoyed teaching people to read. She was an active member of Beta Upsilon for 25 years where she donated her time to raise money for many causes including St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Easter Seals, various community needs and her favorite project Christmas shopping for Children in Need for Harrison and surrounding schools.

She had many hobbies including fishing, camping, traveling (she especially enjoyed Disney World where she made several trips and developed a passion for collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia) and bowling. She bowled for many years with the Coffee Breakers bowling league and enjoyed participating in many state and national tournaments held in places including Las Vegas, Reno, and Baton Rouge. Best of all she formed many lasting friendships with bowling league members.

JoAnn was preceded in death by two children John Keith Hensley and Julianna Methvin, three husbands James (Jim) Methvin, Arthur (Buddy) Mhoon and Gene Davis, her parents Opal (Bogle) Martin and Homer T.
