Jimmy Dewayne White of Pindall left this earthly life on September 29, 2026, at his home. He was born on April 9, 1956, the first child of Jimmie Dale and Willie Jean (Horn) White. He was a lifelong resident of Searcy County and a 1974 graduate of St. Joe High School. 

Dewayne and Linda married on May 16, 1976. They raised three girls at the farm in Pindall. He loved his girls. He also loved the babies and was looking forward to a new one in November.

Dewayne was an old school cowboy. If you knew him, you knew that first and foremost. As a young boy, he grew up along the Buffalo River and in the rodeo arena, roping and riding bulls. He could do just about anything on the back of a horse. As the story goes, many old timers remember him as the boy that would turn a steer off a Shetland pony. His kids went on to ride that pony, Waterloo, for a surprising number of years.

Dewayne was an avid outdoorsman who loved his time out West, hunting and fishing on the river, and listening to the dogs run. He also loved farming and the life that came with it. Those that loved him most will miss the way his whole face changed when he smiled…the grin, the sparkle in his eyes, and the feeling that, in that moment, life was good.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Gail (Brown) White; his daughters, Christl Langton of Branson, MO, Betsy Kindall (Kerry) of St. Joe, AR, and Misty Hampshire (Andy) of Springfield, MO; and his brother, Lynn White of St. Joe. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Candace Mason, Kennedy Langton, Dylan Kindall (Hailee), Grace Baker (Hunter), Taylor Langton, Allie Kindall, Blair Kindall, Emma Hampshire, and Ava Hampshire; his great-grandchildren, Kendrick and Hatty Mason, and a new Baby Girl Baker expected in November; his brother-in-law, Mack Pate; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dewayne was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Hattie Elaine Pate and Becky White Rogers.

Visitation will be Friday, October 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 3, at 10:00 a.m. at Love Cemetery in St. Joe with Pastor Carl Garvin officiating.
