Jimmy Charles "Red" Davis, age 65 of Harrison, AR, passed away Friday, November 2, 2007 at Bellefonte, AR.
The son of Hobart Davis and Mary (Battenfield) Davis, was born January 16, 1942 in Harrison.
He had attended the First Church of God as a young man and was a truck driver. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1964. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing bingo, gun collecting, and yard sales.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hobart Davis and his mother, Mary Perfator.
Survivors are his daughters, Loretta Davis, of Harrison, Sonya Knight, of Springdale, and Amanda Myers and her husband, Michael, of Edwards, MO; his brother, Hobart L. Davis and wife, Barbara, of Harrison; his sisters, Linda Jean Davis, of Washington, Mary Charlene Daniel, of Missouri, and Sharon "Skipper" Cayer and husband, Joe of Edwards, MO. He is also survived by his five grandchildren.
Visitation was Friday, November 9, 2007 with service on Saturday, November 10, 2007, at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Rev. Gerry Bryant officiated. Burial followed at Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Hudson, Brandon Davis, Joshua Brunson, John Daniel, Shane Swanson, and Reggie Jones. Honorary pallbearers were Austin "Red" Davis, J.D. West, Don Shonk, Dale Manning, and Hobart Davis.
