Jimmy Joe Morrison, age 67 of Everton, passed away at his home Friday, January 19, 2007. The son of Claude D. and Fanny E. Morrison, was born May 1, 1939 at Everton, Arkansas. He worked as a saw-miller, logger and bull dozer operator. His hobby was racing IMCA race cars. His loving wife, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids were a very special part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude D. Morrison; a son, Jimmy Morrison, and a granddaughter, Melissa Dawn Chaney.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Morrison of the home; a son, Ricky Joe Morrison of Everton; four daughters, Debbie Tanksley of Springdale, Julie Tennison of Hasty, Judy Anderson of Harrison and Catherine Tanksley of Lincoln, Arkansas; his mother, Fanny E. Morrison of Everton; two sisters, Margie Lowery of Everton and Erma Mathews of Prairie Grove, AR; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday, at Coffman Funeral Home. Service was Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Beckham Church with burial in Beckham Cemetery. Dwayne Bryant officiated. Pallbearers were Tim Tanksley, Arther Martin, Rick Hudson, James Willis, Bob Willis, Jake Marshall, Joe Sisco and Jeff Tanksley. Honorary pallbearers were Elgie Martin, John Mostrem, Rick and Steve Trammell.
