Jimmy Martin, age 76, of Western Grove, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, July 1, 2022.

Jimmy Lee Martin was born August 4, 1945 in Vendor, Arkansas.  He was the oldest son of Garland Lee Martin and Nima Greenhaw Martin.

Jimmy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He started at an early age building a successful logging, sawmill and farming business.  He and his wife Linda devoted their whole lives to their family and the success of their business ventures.  Jimmy served Newton County many years as a JP on the Quorum Court.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda Hefley Martin of 55 years; and two younger brothers, Bobby Martin and Frank Martin.

He is survived by his children, Chris Lee Martin, Michelle Martin and Jason (Mandy) Martin; his grandchildren, Cody (Mary) Nelson, Brandon Lee Martin, Eli Martin, Emily (Kevin) Gibbins, Toby Lee Martin, Bailey Bryant, Tyler Smith, and Macie Smith; his great grandchildren, Lane and Jacy Nelson, Colter Lee and Bonnie Lou Martin, Gunner Lee Gibbins, and Bane Lee Martin; a brother, Ronnie (Faye) Martin; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Hefley Kent and Bernetta Hefley; a special cousin, Shirley Smith and a lifetime of family and friends.

Funeral will be at 10 AM, Friday, July 8, 2022 at Piercetown Holiness Church with Bro. Steven Holt officiating.  Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 pm – 8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Pallbearers are Toby Martin, Brandon Martin, Eli Martin, Tyler Smith, Kevin Gibbins and Cody Nelson.

Honorary pallbearers are Nick Holt, Dr. Tom Leslie, Clayel Criner, Joey McCutcheon, Jimmy Dale Middleton, and the Newton County Courthouse staff.
