Jimmy Lynn Bohannon, age 72 of Hasty, AR, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.

The son of Ira and Eileen (Cowell) Bohannon was born March 19, 1953, in Deer, AR.

Jimmy enjoyed preaching, fishing, and hunting. He pastored at the Log Hall Community Church for 30 years. He also worked and retired from Walmart and Bob's Grocery.  Jimmy was a kind and big-hearted man who will be missed by many.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill Bohannon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brenda Bohannon, Noel Martin, Barbara Bohannon, Clyde & Rosella Smallwood, Faye & Marsella Baker, Eunice & Denise Collins, Elzie Reddell, and Glenn Collins.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Laura (Martin) Bohannon of Hasty; his daughter, Cindy Ricketts and husband Jackie of Vendor, AR; his grandchildren, Kandy Scalph and husband JC and Skip Ricketts and wife Valarie; his great grandchildren, Taylor Ricketts, Hunter Ricketts, Wyatt Scalph, Jacob Scalph, Colten Scalph, Anthony Shimandle, Christian Green, and Lexy Shimandle; and one great great grandbaby, Waylon.

Jimmy is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Harl & Linda Bohannon of Deer, AR, Harvey & Anna Bohannon of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerry Bohannon of Rogers, AR, Gene & Marie Bohannon of Clarksville, AR, Roger & Cookie Bohannon of Deer, AR, Johney Bohannon of Deer, AR, Sharon Moore of Harrison, AR, Betty & Denny Dickard of Clarksville, AR, Mary & Ronnie Hindman of Oklahoma City, OK, and Kathy & Larry Hindman of Oklahoma City, OK.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, December 29, 2025, at Coffman Funeral Home, Jasper, with Pastor Austin Williams and Pastor Arlis Burks officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in Vendor, AR.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025, before the service.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Ricketts, Skip Ricketts, Roger Bohannon, Randy Byrd, John Stuart, and Shaunie Reddell.

Honorary pallbearers are Harvey Bohannon, Hunter Ricketts, JC Scalph, Shawn Ricketts, and Wayne Bohannon.
