Jimmie Dale Reddell, 88, of Valley Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
He was born January 3, 1934, in Searcy County, Arkansas, to John and Verlie (Smith) Reddell. He spent his childhood on his family's farm at Cane Branch on the Buffalo River.
Jim served in the Air Force and was stationed at Walker Air Force Base in New Mexico. After his time in the Air Force, he had many occupations until he opened his own business. He owned and operated Reddell and Son's Disposal in Valley Springs for over 30 years.
Jim loved spending time with his family and friends, especially playing cards. He loved the outdoors and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Ted, Jewell, and Reno Reddell; and a sister, Ima Jean Gregory.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Jo (Henson) Reddell; sons, Mike (Bobbie) Reddell and Steve (Loretta) Reddell both of Valley Springs; daughter, Debbie (Tony) White of Bergman; brothers, Quenton (Gayle) Reddell and Denton (Jody) Reddell of Harrison; sister, Dean (Ed) Jurek of Kearney, MO; 9 grandchildren, Trista, Angie, David, Cody, Ashley, Tara, Travis, Dustin, and Stevie Jean; 8 great grandchildren, Logan, Cheyenne, Dakota, Penny, Cooper, Daxton, Caden, and Hayzlie; 3 great-great grandchildren, Ava, Cane, and Braxton, and many more family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 11 AM at Holder Chapel in Western Grove, with Rev. Dorvin Ricketts officiating. Visitation will be at 10 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Western Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are his Grandsons, Dustin Reddell, Travis Reddell, Cody White, Joshua Still, CJ Burns, Derek Moore, and Shawn Woolston. Honorary pallbearers are his Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Western Grove Cemetery Fund, PO Box 113, Western Grove, AR, 72685.
