Jimmie Campbell, age 87 of Deer, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. He was born June 2, 1921 at Mt. Judea, AR, the son of Cassell and Anna Lee (Reddell) Campbell.
Jimmie was a member of the First Pentecostal Church and a life long resident of Newton County. He was a retired mill worker, farmer, and loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Eileen Campbell, on July 15, 2008. Also preceding him were his parents; four brothers, Henry, Oliver, Devoe, and Clissie Campbell; two sisters, Bessie Burks Mefford and Reba Stuckey; three infant siblings; three grandsons, Arron, Jerad and Little One Campbell; one great grandson, Daniel Willowby and a daughter-in-law, Vaska N. Campbell.
Survivors include his children, Junior Campbell and fiancee`, Tammie Case of Deer, Charles Campbell and wife, Phyllis of Springdale, David Campbell of Deer, Danny Campbell and wife, Teresa of Hagarville, Joyce Henderson and husband, Bobby Henderson, Sr. of Wayton, Tommy Campbell of Deer, and Samuel Campbell and wife, Valerie of Deer; two sisters, Tina "Tiny" Gregory of Pelsor and Mina Fuller and husband of Lees Summit, MO; one brother, Kingston Campbell and wife of Dover; 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; 2 step-grandsons; 3 step-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Open visitation was Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services were Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Deer School Gymnasium with Bro. Danny Spence officiating. Burial followed in the Deer Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bobby W. Henderson, Jr., Brandon Campbell, Casey Campbell, Roger Bohannon, Glen Collins, and Crieg Campbell.
