Obituary
Herbert James "Jim" Waechter, age 91 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Apple Ridge Health & Rehab in Harrison.
The son of James Herbert and Elizabeth (Waldrop) Waechter was born November 18, 1920 in Golconda, Illinois.
Jim retired as a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Navy having served during WWII and the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lucy Geraldine "Geri" Waechter.
Survivors are his son, Vern Waechter and wife, Liz of Whiting, Kansas; his daughter, Linda West of Omaha, Arkansas; grandchildren, James Waechter of Oak Harbor, Washington, and Melody McKamey and Cory West both of Omaha, Arkansas; and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
