J.G. Wyatt, age 71 of Western Grove, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Jay was born in St. Joe, Arkansas on September 10, 1939 to Tennie Sullivan Wyatt and Logan Wyatt.
Jay attended Pine Bluff Community Church in St. Joe. He was a hard working man who spent his life in dedication to his family. Jay spent the last 40 years working at Ozark Timber in St. Joe as a sawyer. Sitting on the porch visiting with the kids, grandkids and friends brought "papaw" the most joy.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Robert, Albert and Dave Wyatt, one sister, Novaleen Hendrix and two grandchildren, Jared Dye and Breanna Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, JoAnna (Gibbons) Wyatt of the home, two sons, Chris Wyatt and wife Cindy of St. Joe, AR., Carey Wyatt and wife Patsy of Pindall, AR., three daughters, Diana Dye and husband Leo, Angie Bower and husband Richard, Crystal Wilson and husband DAvid, all of Western Grove, AR. 25 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Newt Wyatt and wife Versa Lee, Ed Wyatt and wife Pauline, one sister, Cindy Grinder, one sister-in-law, Pat Wyatt, one brother-in-law, Nathan Gibbons and wife Carole and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Holder Chapel in Western Grove with Brother Jerry Cowan and Sister Angie Bower officiating. Visitation was Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, AR. Burial followed in Western Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons and sons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Keith and co-workers at Ozark Timber.
