Jewell Dean Sparks, age 79 of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper, AR.

The daughter of Clarence and Velma (Edgmon) Sparks was born May 9, 1942 in Mossville, AR.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; and 1 infant brother.

Jewell was a member of the Shiloh United Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her Bible.  She also enjoyed singing and talking on the phone with her friends and family.

She is survived by her brother, Dorlin Sparks and his wife Peggy of Jasper, AR; her sisters, Nadine Huber of Compton, AR, and Nina Lee Rylee of Shiloh, AR; her sisters-in-law, Ina Vern Sparks and Shirley Sparks both of Springdale, AR; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Mossville United Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Young and Pastor Dale Sparks officiating.  Burial will follow in Mossville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00PM, Friday, August 27. 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers will be Trinity Roland, Quenton Rylee, Bradley Woods, Arlis Woods, Steven Sparks, Philip Sparks, Mark Sparks, and Doug Sparks.

Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Sparks, Anthony Huber, Travis Huber, and the Staff of Newton County Nursing Home.
