Jewell Rae Butler, age 79 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.
The daughter of Oliver and Minnie Frances (Davis) Cannady, she was born December 18, 1929 in Light, Arkansas.
She was a member of Jasper Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, loved her family - especially her grandchildren and enjoyed music and trivia.
Her parents preceded her in death, along with her first husband, Kenneth Book; her brother, James Cannady; and a step-son, Jim Butler.
Survivors are her husband, Ralph Butler of the home; her children, Andrea Spry and husband, Fred of Springdale, Greg Book and wife, Kathy of Royal, Arkansas, Kevin Book and wife, Maureen of San Antonio, Texas, and Donna Reyes and husband, Jose of Austin, Texas; step-children, John Butler and wife, Donna of Wisconsin, Jerry Butler and wife, Sarah of Jasper, and Paulette Butler of Wisconsin; sisters and brothers, Marietta Watson and husband, James of Cave City, Lacona Dickey of Harrison, and Art Cannady and wife, Beverly of Bella Vista; half-sister, Barbara Cunningham of Belen, New Mexico; sister-in-law, Jean Cannady of Peel; step-father, Andrew Perry of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were Friday, July 10, 2009 at Jasper Church of Christ with Phil Powers officiating. Honorary pallbearers were the church congregation.
