IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jess Fernando
Segura
November 10, 1959 – March 1, 2025
Jess Fernando Segura, of Harrison, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was 65 years old.
The son of Arthur Almaraz and Hope Lupe Segura was born on November 10, 1959 in French Camp, California.
Jess was a member of the Cornerstone Apostolic Church in Stockton, California, and most recently, a cherished attendee of Grace City Church in Harrison. Jess was a man of unwavering faith, integrity, and kindness. His character and compassion touched the lives of all who knew him.
Jess had a unique gift for listening. He was a patient, non-judgmental ear to all, offering thoughtful advice with warmth and wisdom. His passion for cars, particularly hot rods, was evident in his love for working on them, attending car shows, and sharing his enthusiasm with others. He was also drawn to the beauty of the world around him, with one of his favorite places being the beach in Pacifica, California. It was there, at what he fondly referred to as "Taco Bell Beach," that he found peace, watching the waves while enjoying the unique sight of a Taco Bell right on the shore.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Jess's family was the center of his life. He was especially close to his baby brother, Valentino, offering him constant support, guidance, and encouragement. Jess was a steadfast pillar of love and devotion for his family and friends.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness. Jess was deeply loved by many and will be missed more than words can express. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of six years, Sonya Segura; children, Christina (Leo) Galvan, Jose (Melanie) Valle, Priscilla Calderwood, and Carl Brown; five grandchildren, Mia, Ela, and Aydien Calderwood and Freyja and Aridessa Brown; two brothers, Valentino (Annie) Segura and Fernando Segura; three nieces, Valerie Wardrip, Patricia Wardrip, and Bella Baker; his mother and father-in-law, Renee and Jim "Rooster" Bryant; and a host of other family and friends.
