Jerry Russell of Jasper, AR, born as Gertrude Jerene Eilenberger on April 17, 1927 in Jefferson City, MO, met her maker on March 23, 2010. She was a Methodist.
Jerry was a very talented and creative woman who worked as a Registered Nurse with her husband in Newton County after moving from St. Louis in 1951. She became disabled in 1966.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. David Russell; parents, Paul Eilenberger and Virginia (Sachs) Eilenberger Brown of Jefferson City, MO; and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her siblings, Evelyn Ward of Jefferson City, MO, Gloria Dixon of Columbia, MO, and Paul Brown, Jr. of San Diego, CA; her children, Dr. Randy Russell and his wife, LaBerta of Lake Village, AR, Ricky Russell and his wife, Nada of Little Rock, AR, Rod Russell and his wife, Lynn of Russellville, AR, and Ann Main and her husband, Gary of Harrison, AR. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brandi Smith of Austin, TX, Brittany Ruszkowski of Dallas, TX, Rusty McEntire of Little Rock, AR, Alex Main of Harrison, AR, Devin Russell of Clarksville, AR; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the North AR Regional Medical Center Foundation at 620 North Main, Harrison, AR 72601; or the Jasper First United Methodist Church, Jasper, AR 72641.
A private memorial service has been held.
