Obituary

Jerry Dean Billups, age 75 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday February 20, 2020 in Harrison.

The son of Fred and Pauline (Hicks) Billups was born on September 24, 1944 in West Plains, Missouri.

Jerry always had a smile on his face and saw the good in everything.  He loved his family deeply, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He loved his church and loved his God.  Jerry also enjoyed golfing and tending to his chickens.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Ross, Lloyd, Bill and David; his sisters, Elsie and husband John Lively and Hilda and husband Billy Evans.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janet Blevins Billups of the home; a son, Dean Billups and wife Patricia;  two daughters, Michele Villines and husband Utah and Lynn Walker; 6 grandchildren, Trent Villines, Clint Villines, Hannah Villines, Allie Billups, Hayden Billups and Christy Heskett; five great-grandchildren;  two sisters-in-law, Jean and Mary Billups; a host of nieces and nephews and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.

Services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Gaither Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Bryant officiating.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Trent Villines, Clint Villines, Justin Villines, Mike Gregory, Johnny Clemons and Chris Billups.  Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Gonzales, Bill Rowland, Tim Cooper and Eddie Todd.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gaither Baptist Church, PO Box 275, Harrison, AR 72602.
