Obituary
Doris Jean Smith, age 64 of Jasper, AR passed away Saturday, September 16, 2006 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR.
Jean was born October 14, 1941 in Blue Eye, MO a daughter of Levi and Bamie (Terherst) Jones. She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Grover C. Smith, in 2003.
She was the Pastor of Crossroads Community Church in Compton, AR, having been in the ministry for 50 years. She was an encourager for all to follow the Lord's will, preaching and singing at many different churches in the area.
Survivors are her mother, Bamie Jones of Harrison; brother, David Jones of Harrison; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday, September 19 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Service was held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 20 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Stan Taylor officiating. Burial was in Crossroads Cemetery at Deer, AR. Pallbearers were Bryan Campbell, Travis Freeman, Wesley Allen Sparks, Kendall Edgmon, Danny Jones, and Tommy Earwood.
