When she left the phone company, she decided to go to school and attended what was then Adams State College, earning first a Bachelor's and then a Master's degree in English and then taught at the college for a few years. Upon the death of her first husband, Jean set out on a new adventure which included fun trips with her girlfriends and country western dancing where she and Warren met, and they danced together through the next 20 years.
Jean was a loving mother and caring friend. She was full of life and always ready to do the next thing, go to the next place, take on the next challenge. She learned to play the baritone ukulele, took up quilting with her church group and loved going on cruises with Warren and her family. Ready to laugh, ready to play, ready to dance, Jean left a family and a community that will mourn her passing.
