Jean Fisher, of Harrison, passed away at her home on September 15, 2026. She was 61 years old. She was born on August 5, 1965 in Blue Island, Illinois. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Garza and her mother, Norma (Matt) Garza.

She is survived by her husband, Mark; two sons, Jesse and Joshua; her sister, Jody; and two brothers, Robert and Michael. 

Jean graduated High School at Lincolnway in 1983. She was an accomplished athlete and loved competing in any sport. Jean completed the Veterinary Technician program at Parkland College in 1985. Mark and Jean started dating while she attended Parkland and were married in 1988. She worked at several veterinary clinics including The University of Illinois. She retired early to pursue her passion of dogs and horses full time. 

Throughout her life she achieved multiples of champions in both breed and sport. Her latest protege was Stryker, a Belgian Shepherd, who, with Jean just attained their 9th MACH this past June. 

Jean was a fierce advocate for family and friends, fearless and the words "I can't" never crossed her lips. She was a driving force for her family and will be deeply missed. Jean was eternally grateful to her friends for their love and support. We love you Jean!

A memorial service will be held in the Spring.
