Obituary

Janice (Asha) King-Ravari has gone on to the heavenly realm.  While on earth, she was a devoted wife, loving mother and dedicated teacher of yoga and meditation to the Northwest Arkansas Community.  Asha shared her nurturing, optimistic and gentle spirit with others in her teaching.  She believed in the power of the human spirit and was kind to all she met.

She is survived by her husband, Kavoos Ravari, of Harrison, Arkansas; daughter, Zohreh Ravari King of Beverly, Massachusetts; son, Sohrab Ravari King of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; granddaughter, Suzette King of Woodstock, New York; mother, Elizabeth Tripp King of South Dartmouth, Massachusetts; siblings, Jim (wife Kate), Joyce, Joan (husband Dennis), Jeffrey, Jody (husband Erich), John, and Jeremy (wife Elisabeth); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends, students, and fellow members of the yoga and meditation community.

She was predeceased by her father, Andrew Emerson King and her sister, Jane King Trainor.

Asha studied at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts and the Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville in Buckingham, Virginia.
