Janice Lee Gash, 77, of Western Grove, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison.

The daughter of Harold Poyner and Dora (Biles) Poyner was born October 12, 1946 in Newton County, Arkansas. She was a lifelong resident of Newton County and of Pentecostal Faith.

Janice worked as a nurse for many years. She loved to cook and made the best pies and poke cake. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She especially loved her children and grandbaby.  Janice was always pleasant and easy to get along with, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Billy Paul Kolb; three brothers, Orville Poyner, Richard Poyner, and George Poyner; a sister, Nadine Brown; and a sister-in-law, Frances Poyner.

Janice is survived by her husband of 14 years, Jerry Gash of the home; three sons, Donnie Kolb of Marble Falls, Darrell Kolb (Monett) of OK, and Adam Kolb of Newton County; eight grandchildren, Kasey, Justin, Makayla, Clarissa, Lynzi, Noah Paul, Bennett, and Kortney; two brothers, Jim Poyner of Berryville and Jerry Conner (Annette) of OK; two sisters, Kay Reeves of Rogers and Marion Jefferson of OK; daughter-in-law, Amy Kolb; three step-sons, Jerry Don Gash, Robert Gash, and Jessie Gash all of TX; three step-grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor, and Tori; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended relatives.

Funeral service will be at 10 AM, Wednesday, August 7 (2024) at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Baker officiating. Burial will follow at White Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Richard Poyner, Allan Poyner, Billy Lewis, Robert Gash, Blake Baker, and Donnie Kolb.
