IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janice Elizabeth
Campbell
July 24, 1939 – January 18, 2026
Janice Elizabeth (Loftin) Campbell crossed the river into her heavenly home on January 18, 2026. Born July 24, 1939, in Magic Springs, Arkansas, Janice entered this world with a strength that would define every chapter of her life. The daughter of James and Dottie (Blair) Loftin, she grew up and attended school in the Witts Springs community, where hard work was not optional, but a way of life.
From an early age, Janice learned endurance, responsibility, and determination—qualities that became the steady rhythm of her life. Those who knew her would say she never waited for opportunity; she built it.
On September 1, 1955, she married the love of her life, James Levastas "Lee" Campbell, and together they began a family rooted in perseverance and commitment. They were migrant workers in several states before making long term homes in Mesa, AZ and Buroak Community, AR. Together they raised three daughters-Pamela, Patti, and Michelle. Though life would later ask her to walk through profound loss with Lee's passing in 1988, Janice continued forward with courage, fierce love, and unwavering resolve.
Janice was, above all, an entrepreneur at heart. In Scottsdale, Arizona, she owned and operated her own reweaving and seamstress business, serving clients from all walks of life—including many well-known figures. Her skill with needle and thread was matched only by her work ethic. In addition to her varied businesses throughout the years, she worked in various factories and later spent almost 20 years Dairy Farming-never shying away from labor, no matter how demanding.
Her hands were always busy, whether stitching, cooking, or decorating cakes; all for which she was well-respected. She had a knack for working the land, both vegetable and flower gardening, foraging, and canning in abundance. Janice's kitchen was a place of comfort and excellence, and her talents brought both beauty and nourishment to those she loved.
In the early 2000s, she found renewed companionship with Bob Clark, sharing laughter and life together.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dottie (Blair) Loftin; her husband, James Levastas "Lee" Campbell; siblings Lenora, Nellie, Zelta, Priscilla, Herbert, Carl, Clyde, Sharon, Lillian, Donna, Jerry, and Norman Ladon, who passed in infancy; and bonus son, Rob Clark.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses; Pamela (Michael) Slay, Patti (Danny) Bohannon, and Michelle (Mike) Hale; her grandchildren, Micah (Rachel) Arington, Shad (Angela) Arington, Nathan (Cassie) Bohannon, Jessie (Heather) Bohannon, and Tara (Joe) McKinney; her great and great-great grandchildren, Holley, Brock, Eliza, Timothy, Lilly, Piper, Campbell, AJ, Olivia, Braden, Delilah, Hadley, Anna, Taylor, Chloe, Blakely, Jace, Emily, Addison, Drew, Tyler, and Jonathan; bonus daughter Vicky Clark Rhodes; her partner Bob Clark, her sister Mary Gerg, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Beyond her remarkable work ethic, Janice was known for the simple joys she loved: trips to the casino, watching The Price Is Right and Swamp People, listening to Shepherd's Chapel, and giving what everyone agreed were the very best back scratches imaginable.
Her life was not easy—but it was strong. And in that strength, she built a family, multiple businesses, and a story worth telling.
Her hands may now be at rest, but the imprint of her life remains stitched into every generation she touched.
