Janet Carol Methvien, 58 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

The daughter of William and Gladys Mildred (Dunn) Methvien was born January 14, 1960 at Shreveport, Louisiana. She had been a resident of Harrison for the past 25 years. She had previously worked at Western Sizzlin for 15 years.

Janet loved the outdoors and her cats; she enjoyed hiking, arrowhead hunting, gardening and working in flower beds. She also enjoyed collecting Indians, wolves and dream catchers. She cherished talking to her daughter on the phone for hours. Janet would do anything for anyone, she was always a very caring, loving person. She was independent and set in her ways, but was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Janet is survived by her sons, Damien Marshall of Harrison and Lonnie Edwards of Louisiana; her daughter, Julie (Edwards) Henriquez and her husband Edward of Louisiana; her brother, Lin Methvien and his wife Betty of Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Tony, Brandon, Jordan, Little Tony, Jasmine and Jayden, two great grandchildren, Aubrey and Lilliana; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
