Janet Elaine Heard, 68 of Harrison Arkansas passed away on February 22nd, 2024 of Respiratory complications at NARMC.

Janet was born on September 20th, 1955, to the late Wilma June Smith and the late Vernon Earton Smith in Broken Arrow Oklahoma, but it was Boone County where Janet grew up, lived and made memories with her surviving siblings: Martha Louise Surber, Shirley Joann Smith, Larry Dale Smith, Charlotte Marie Dunnigan and Harold Wayne Smith.

Janet attended Valley Springs School, graduated and grew up to venture into many avenues of life but continued to live in the local area close to her family, later becoming a mother and wife to her now ex-husband Don Hamilton where they shared three daughters: Rebecca Hair, Carrie Ann Martin and Shannon Renee McKinney. Janet had five grandsons: Austin Lee Fiveash, Talon Reid Hair, Keith Bailey, Bryan Ford, Dalton Ford; two granddaughters: Tasha Ann Martin, Jessica Renee Ford; along with 11 nieces and nephews: Matthew Kevin Taylor, Rachel Leann Lambert, Mindy Renee Taylor, Joseph Michael Smith, Harold Wayne Smith II, Cody Lee Smith, David Scott Smith, Amanda Gale Smith, Stacey Jo Ragsdale, Christine Michele Blevins and Bradley Smith.

Janet loved fishing, camping, being outdoors, gospel music, a morning prayer from her brother Larry Smith and a calm Sunday afternoon. Janet is survived by her family, friends, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, nieces and nephews and will always be remembered as the loving mother, grandma, fun aunt and sweet friend. Janet had a lot of love for the people around her and enjoyed the life she chose. We remember Janet this day as she was in her life and know she will forever carry on in our hearts.

As She leaves this life- She holds the hand of Jesus who will escort her new body and soul into heaven. For the first time in a long time, she will freely breathe glorious pure air and be clothed in garments of love as a beautiful princess because the prince of glory paid the price for her.

Janet you will always be loved, continued to be missed and forever be remembered.

Graveside service for Janet will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Bellefonte Cemetery with Pastor Mike Hutsell and Pastor Billy Joe Smith officiating. There is no visitation.

Pallbearers are Harold Wayne Smith II, Cody Lee Smith, David Scott Smith, Matthew Kevin Taylor and Cody Lambert.

Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Michael Smith and David Smith.
