Obituary

Janet Victoria Cook, of Harrison, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 5, 2021. She was 61 years old.

Janet was born in Royston, Georgia on April 22, 1960. She was raised by her mother, Jessie Mae Davis-Myers and her grandparents, Rachel and Johnnie Davis, affectionately known as "Big Mama" and "Grandaddy".

She moved to Arkansas in the late 1970s and resided there most of her adult life with her husband of 42 years, Jimmy Cook. Together, they raised seven children and welcomed eleven grandchildren into the world. Janet loved her family more than anything and was always happy to tell anyone who would listen about her children or grandchildren. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and, after a 30 plus year battle with Multiple Sclerosis, is now peacefully resting in his arms.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Mae Davis-Myers; her grandmother, Rachel B. Davis and her grandfather, Johnnie B. Davis all of Macon, Georgia.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Cook of Harrison; her seven children (along with their families), Rachel Riddell of Little Rock, Jon and Jaci Cook of Jacksonville, Josh and Heather Cook of Harrison, Micah Cook and Hali Williams of Harrison, Matthew and Haylee Cook of Arkadelphia, Rebekah and Samuel Bramley of Nashville, Tennessee and Isaiah Cook of Harrison; and eleven grandchildren, Sara, Emily, Aeden, Aaron, Jacob, Sawyer, Sofia, Ian, Adelaide, Corbin, Leland and Avery.

A memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
