Janet Lea Cone, age 52, was called home in Glory on Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Her homecoming celebration was Monday, March 29, 2010 at Woodland Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Ernie Nelson officiating. Visitation was Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery with pallbearers being Wesley Crow, Tom Angel, Abe Clary, Josh Petersen, Bo Norman, and Jeremy Clary. Honorary pallbearers were members of Woodland Heights Baptist Church and the Harrison Daily Times staff.

Bobby Lee and Avanell Cone were blessed with the birth of Janet Lea on October 28, 1957 in Harrison.

She was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church where she was an active member and faithfully served by teaching pre-schoolers in Sunday School and Mission Friends for many years. She loved working in Children's Church, Vacation Bible School, and singing in the choir. She was active in WMU as Program Leader and she was the Mission Friends Leader of the WMU team for the North Arkansas Baptist Association. She also served in the Pampered Feet Ministry.

She worked at Harrison Daily Times as Advertising Proofer. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Lee Cone; grandparents, Everett and Agnes Cone and William and Celeste McArtor.

She is survived by her mother, Avanel Cone; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Wesley Crow, Julia and Tom Angel all of Harrison, and Becky and Abe Clary of Lead hill; nieces, Chastity and husband, Bo Norman of Lead Hill, Amy and husband, Josh Petersen, Emily Crow, and Katie Angel all of Harrison; nephew, Jeremy Clary of Lead Hill; great-nephew and nieces, Bradley, Lily and Sarah Norman all of Lead Hill and soon to be great-niece, Avalee Petersen of Harrison.

Memorials may be made to the Woodland Heights Baptist Church building fund, 515 S. Locust, Harrison, Arkansas 72601.
