Obituary

Janese Emily Fritz, age 52, of Alpena, Arkansas passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 in Fayetteville.

The daughter of Michael and Jeanette (Taylor) Thomas was born in Salinas, California on March 3, 1974. She has lived in Boone County most of her life and was a 1992 graduate of Harrison High School. After high school she attended Harrison School of Cosmetology and worked as a cosmetologist for about 10 years.

She ran the Alpena Soccer Association for several years. She loved being outdoors, especially camping. If she could have lived in a campground, she would.

Janese’s whole world was her family, especially her boys, Dalton and Harley. She was a self-labeled domestic engineer and was the manager and CEO of her household. She ran a tight ship, standing up for herself or her family when the occasion called for it. She could be stubborn and wasn’t afraid to stand her ground. She advocated passionately for Harley’s care and was looking forward to celebrating his high school graduation.

She was a devoted, loving, and loyal wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved her family fiercely and was always there to help when needed. She had a strong moral compass and strove to do the right thing. Janese was deeply loved by her family and her friends. The memories created and the love she gave her family will be treasured and held closely in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Thomas; her paternal and maternal grandparents; and her father-in-law, Thomas “Tom Bill” Fritz.

Janese is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jeremy Fritz; her son and daughter-in-law, Dalton and Ginger Fritz and her son, Harley Fritz; her mother, Jeanette Thomas; her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Kristy Thomas; and mother-in-law, Kay Fritz; her precious fur-baby, Bubba; her grand-dogs; her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
