James Ora Wills, of Lead Hill, passed away at the Springs of Mt. Vista on Thursday, May 11, 2023.  He was 89 years old.

The son of Ora Oliver and Nellie Mae (Baughman) Wills was born on July 3, 1933 in Leon, Iowa.

James was raised as a farmer and had a farm in Nebraska. James was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Baumholder, Germany as an Army Engineer from 1953-1955.  He retired from Arkansas Best Freight Way after 29 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union for those 29 years.  James was a Christian and friend to many.  He enjoyed having breakfast with the guys and attending auctions to meet and visit with friends.  He loved dachshunds, especially his little one, Daisy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, James Ora Wills, Jr. and David Wills; one infant daughter; and one brother, Roy Oliver Wills.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia Ann Wills; one son, Terry Wills; one daughter, Sandra McKay; four grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Nathan, and Shawn; numerous great grandchildren; one sister, Lois Benedict; two nieces, Carol and Connie; and nephews and other family members across the country.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Oregon Flat Baptist Church at 10:00 AM Pastor Frank Hillis will officiate.  Burial with military honors will be in Milum Cemetery at Lead Hill.  Pallbearers will be friends and family.
