James E. Wiggs, age 95 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 in Harrison.

The son of William Earl and Irene (Galloway) Wiggs was born on March 10, 1923 in Grandview, Texas.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.  He served as the mayor of Bellefonte, was a retail grocery owner and also worked at Mistler's Furniture.

He was preceded by his parents; his wife, Virginia Wiggs and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by a son, Mike Wiggs and wife Lisa; a brother, Bob Wiggs; 2 sisters, Martha Johnson and Mary Underwood; 3 grandchildren, Zac Wiggs, Robby Wiggs and Katelyn Wiggs; 2 great-grandchildren and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 6 at 2:00 PM at Bear Creek Baptist Church with Mark Enloe officiating.  Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00pm at the church.

Pallbearers include Jim Brisco, Mike Cooper, Charles Johnson, Jack Hardcastle, Zac Wiggs and Joe Hefley.
