James Watt Sr., our beloved father, grandfather, and friend went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, October 22, 2011. He was born on Jan. 20, 1932 to James and Margaret (Tucker) Watt in Sarver, Pennsylvania.
James was a pastor for 56 years and his testimony and great desire is that he wants you to know Jesus Christ as your Savior and that one day you too will be with him in glory.
He also served our country in the Navy.
James was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John David Watt and two grandchildren, Jonathan Pflueger and Kelsey Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy of the home; 4 children, James Watt, Rodney Watt and wife Margie, Lee Pflueger and husband Al, and Peggy Smith and husband Johnny all of Valley Springs; one brother Peter Watt and one sister Margaret Martin, both of Pennsylvania.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Grandchildren include Amy Minefee, Nathan Leonard, Andrew Pflueger, Lesley Horton, Michelle Holt, Bethany Klimkiewicz, Tasha Watt, Briley Austin, Tyler & Aubrey Watt. Great grandchildren are Joseph, Hayla, Jacklyn, Kennedy & Jalee.
Services will be Tuesday, October 25 at 2:00 pm at the Coffman Chapel in Harrison with burial at Maplewood cemetery to follow. James Mohler will be officiating. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Pflueger, Tyler Watt, Tyler Austin, Michael Horton, Tim Hicks and Rex Savage. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Minefee, Nathan Leonard and Roger Rorie.
