James Roy Ruble passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at the Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.
James was the son of Roy and Gladys (Hickman) Ruble and was born in Bellefonte, Arkansas August 10, 1938. He enjoyed bird hunting and pointer dogs, all other hunting, was a huge razorback fan, was a member of the Missouri Foxtrotting Association, a member of the NRA, and a member of the Homey Hearth Coffee Club. He was also a strong Christian man.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Louise (Lawrence) Ruble of the home; daughters Kathy Davis and husband Gail of Harrison and Connie Ruble Stevenson and husband Steve of St. Joe; a granddaughter Erin Davis of Harrison and a host of friends and family and hunting buddies that will truly mourn his passing.
Memorial services were held Thursday, May 31 at Maplewood Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Brown and Pastor Jane Huffstetler officiating.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the Ozark Humane Society in Harrison, or the Hospice House in Harrison.
