James "Ron" Ronald Shaver, of Compton, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 25, 2025.  He was 83 years old.

The son of Edwin Vanburen Shaver and Bertha Irene (Ford) Shaver was born on March 25, 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam.  He, along with his wife, Charlene, was a founding member of County Line Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Shaver; infant son, Gregory Scott Shaver; his parents; two brothers, Robert and Johnny Shaver; and one sister, Jane Rounsavall.

Survivors include two sons, Clark and Chris Shaver; four grandchildren, Alanna (Brett) Henson, Taylor (Conner) Wilson, Lane Shaver and Colton Shaver; three great grandsons, Bridjer and Baylor Henson, and Cove Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends, who he loved dearly.

A private service will be held at a later date.
