James A. Owen, age 81, of Hasty, Arkansas, passed away at his daughter's home on Sunday October 2, 2022.

The son of Sam and Estella (Sludder) Owen was born in Noel, Missouri on February 20, 1941.  James was a resident of Galena, Missouri most of his life and moved to Arkansas in the fall of 2015.  While living in Missouri, he worked for the Missouri Highway Department and Stone County Road and Bridge.  He was a US Army Veteran, and also served in the National Guard.

James enjoyed gardening and working on small engines.  He also enjoyed word search puzzles.  Most of all, James loved his family.  He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Owen.

James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marietta Owen; twin sons, James K. Owen (Selina) and Jason B. Owen; and his daughter, Debbie Garner (Randy); two brothers, Donnie Owen and Bill Owen; two sisters, Marie Crooks and Thelma Russell, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends who loved him and will miss him.
