Obituary
James Edward McCann, age 86 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison.
The son of Joseph Dothan McCann and Pearl (Beshears) McCann was born January 14, 1927 in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
James was a WWII Navy veteran and served on the Destroyer USS Isherwood during the Okinawa invasion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 44 years, Elsie McCann; and a daughter, Janice Gentry.
Survivors are his son, Tim McCann of Harrison, Arkansas; grandson, Derrick Gentry of New York; granddaughter, Amy Wenger of Washington; great-grandson, William Gentry of New York; son-in-law, Phylip Gentry of Harrison, Arkansas; brother, Carlos McCann of California; and sister, Nell Murray of Oregon.
Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
