Obituary

James Edgeley Lovell, D.V.M.,84 of Omaha, AR.

James passed from earthly life to Heavenly Eternity, July 4, 2008, at 8:10 p.m. in Springfield, MO, after a brief and well-fought battle with a lung disorder.

James was born October 9, 1923 to William and Bess Lovell of Fort Atkinson, WI. He had one brother, Robert Blaine Lovell. James married Annabelle C. Seemann, in 1946. She passed into Glory in 1983.

The Family now includes, his wife, Francine, two daughters, Fiammetta and her husband, Dan and Tosca, Valeria and her husband, Barry. Jim's two children, son John and his wife, Sheila, sons, Matthew (married to Alyssa), Daniel (married to Megan and son, Hudson), Joel (married to Kortnie); daughter, Rebecca, her husband, Andrew Berglund, sons, Robert (married to Wendy), David (married to Katy and son, Benjamin), daughter, Anna (engaged to Roderick), and Julia (married to Jon).

During James' career, he was in private veterinary practice in Monroe, WI and in Aurora, IL, served during the Korean War as a U.S. Air Force Veterinarian Captain, he was Professor at Iowa State University and a Professor and the Head of Veterinary of Biological Structure at the University of Illinois until his retirement in 1975. During his professional career, James received numerous scholarships, honors, and committee assignments, was awarded a NATO post doctoral fellowship, participated in national and international professional activities and affiliations, contributed to books and publications, many research interests and was a respected academic adviser to graduate students.

After retirement, he and his wife Ann, built and operated his 233 acre cattle farm in Omaha, AR. Simultaneously, they begun traveling the world as Missionaries smuggling Bibles behind the Iron Curtain. They worked independently and in conjunction with established international ministries including Brother Andrew and the End-Time Handmaidnes & Servants.

This work continued with his wife Francine to include over 60 nations, worldwide with many returned visits. Their ministry, End-Time Harvest, Inc. of which Francine is Founder and President, continues on. In recent years, James started a long-range conservation/restoration project on his land working closely with several state agencies.

James's giftedness as a teacher, researcher and adviser followed him throughout his life as he became increasingly involved in his church as a 8th grade Sunday School teacher, into his community as a Boy Scouts of America commissioner, and into his personal life with music. He composed over thirty original songs, declaring his faith in God and trust in Jesus Christ.

Jim will be forever remembered for his opimism, glorious smile, depth of thoughts, ability to connect with people of all ages and nationalities, godly character, wisdom and strength and his earnest convictions for spreading Gospel Message of the love of Jesus Christ.

There was a viewing and visitation Saturday, July 12, 2008 with Celebration services following at the Glory Tabernacle, located 4 miles beyond Jasper on Hwy 7, on the left before Mockingbird Motel. Burial will follow in El Shaddai Gardens near Jasper.
