James Edward Lipscomb, age 69 of Lead Hill, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at his home.
The son of Bill and Oleta (Peeples) Lipscomb was born September 15, 1944 in Gurdon, Arkansas.
James was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was an Electrician. He enjoyed living in Arkansas so that he could live his dream of raising horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Brenda Lipscomb; one brother, Tom Lipscomb; one sister, Billie Howard; and a brother-in-law, Bill Carter.
Survivors are a son, Duane McConathy and wife, Bobbie Sue of League City, Texas; daughters, Deborah Henning and husband, James of Durham, North Carolina, Leigh Anne Kirk and husband, Steve of Greensboro, Alabama, and Wendy Schnell of Houston, Texas; sister, Sibyl Carter of Texarkana, Arkansas; and grandchildren, Miranda McConathy, Billy Joe McConathy, Matthew Harrold, Thomas McConathy, Sean Hardman, Haleigh Harrold, Alex Schnell, and Mary Annsleigh Kirk.
Service was Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at His House of Prayer on Zinc Road in Bergman, Arkansas with Brother Charles Tilton officiating. Burial followed in Foresee Cemetery at Lead Hill, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Bill Burleson, Cory Burleson, Bill "Bubb" Burleson, Sean Hardman, Billy Joe McConathy, and Thomas "Boo" McConathy. Honorary pallbearers were James Henning, Steve Kirk, and Matthew Harrold.
