James W. Johnson, age 62, of Harrison and formerly of University Place, Washington, passed away July 20, 2025 at Regency Hospital in Springdale, Arkansas. James is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jan Johnson.

James had served in the US Air Force and worked in hospital services until his retirement. He was active in the SCA for almost forty years and was a member of the Ravenstead Household.

James was an avid lifelong role-player, starting with D&D, through its many iterations and ran a many years long campaign set in the world of Harn. He had an amazing sense of humor and a huge heart that loved everyone he called his own. If you needed help, a laugh, or a shoulder, he was the person you called.

James is survived by his fiancée, Sarina McCaffrey; and longtime friends, DJ and Kandi James, Mike and Sharon Yount, Joe Giese, Mike Mohilo, Nancy Sprowls, and Emiel Kandi.

James will be missed by his many friends on W @ W (Wolves at War) Per Bertler, Bill Stacey, David Stevens, Jennifer Sherman and the late Mike Sherman. Prost, James. Sail on and may the depth charges miss.
