James "Jay" Harley Richardson, Sr., age 88 of Omaha, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.

The son of Willie D. and Della (Kelley) Richardson was born June 24, 1924 in Turkey, Arkansas.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing music.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty June Richardson; a granddaughter, Betty Jo Lange; and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors are his son, James H. Richardson and wife Janet and daughter, June Richardson Benne and husband Mike all Omaha, Arkansas; three grandsons and one granddaughter, Jimmy Richardson and wife Julie of South Dakota, James Lange and wife Tona of Omaha, Arkansas, Chad Richardson and Tonya of Omaha, Arkansas, and Lucinda Benne Baysinger and husband Mark of Marshall, Arkansas. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Service was Friday, January 11, 2013 at Lakeland Baptist Church in Omaha, Arkansas with Brother Carl Garvin officiating.

Visitation was held Friday, an hour prior to the service.

Burial follwed in Nanny Cemetery with Mark Baysinger, Joe Baysinger, James Lange, Chad Richardson, Kelly Henson and Steve Rice serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers were James David Richardson, Carl Rice, Bill Daniels and Jimmy Daniels.
