Obituary
James Floyd Carter, age 85, passed away on July 22, 2009 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas. The son of Joseph Walter Carter and Bonnie Faye (Weaver) Carter was born July 27, 1923 in Jasper, Arkansas.
James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marguerite (Cantrell) Carter; hid nephew, Terry Wallace Carter; and his niece, Ruth (Sill) Miller.
James Floyd Carter is survived by his sister, Mary Lois (Ralph) Sill of Springfield, Missouri; his brother, Sam Carter of Jasper, Arkansas; his niece, Pam Madole; his nephew, Marlon Wade; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service were Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with an open visitation. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery. Dr. David Artman officiated the service.
Pallbearers were Watson Strong, Dale Strong, Doyle Massengale, Duncan Keener, Glen Boswell, and Marlon Carter.
