James (Jim) Davidson, age 73 and longtime resident of Western Grove, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007 at NARMC in Harrison. The youngest of 10 children,was born on May 19, 1934 at Yardell, Arkansas, the son of William F. and Daisy A. (Dinwiddie) Davidson.
He held various jobs through the years, which included coon hunting, but settled down to cattle farming over the last 25 plus years. He married his wife of 50 years, Pebble (Stephens) Davidson on May 25, 1957. Together they raised three children.
We will remember his love for cattle, his land and the many trips his kids and grandkids took with him to check on them.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Oliver and Gene Davidson; five sisters, Delight Burflat, Jewell Meeks, Daisey Owens, Pearl Pratt, and June Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Pebble Davidson of the home; a daughter, Debbie Davidson; sons, Kim Davidson and Vickie,and Ross Davidson and wife, Pat; and grandchildren, Andy and Ali Davidson, Corey and Tricia Lewis;
and great grandchild, Hailey Lewis; one sister, Bonnie Hopkins of Houston, TX and one brother, Glen Davidson and his wife, Evon of Harrison.
Visitation was Monday. Services were held Tuesday at Coffman Funeral Home. Burial was in Western Grove Cemetery with Chris Wyatt officiating.
Pallbearers included, Kyle, Kevin and Kurt Sisco, Chad Spears, Elge Martin, and Steve Hensley. Honorary pallbearers included, Clifford Sisco, G. W. Martin, Harold Collins, Dave Wyatt, Rex Martin, Dorvin Jones, Ricky Erwin, Rex Massey, Steve Sanders,all his coon hunting buddies and staff of Hospice of the Hills, especially Tim Youngs.
