Woodrow Cash, age 95 of Harrison, formerly of St. Joe, passed away at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009.
The son of Thomas "Jack" and Maude (Hensley) Cash, he was born at Rye Bottom on Buffalo River near St. Joe on Oct. 15, 1913.
He was raised on Richland, attended school at Wyatt and served during World War II in the U.S. Army. Woodrow was a very gentle, easy going person who loved everyone. He will be greatly missed by his sisters and many others. He enjoyed TV, music and reading, and also liked to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dollie Taylor; brothers, Waldo, Leo and Troy Cash; and a nephew Jimmy Cash.
Survivors are three sisters, Ada Watts and Vada Campbell both of Harrison and Grace Arnold of Pine Bluff, AR; nieces and nephews, Dolores Beene of Rogers, Quindora Coe of Batesville, Darwin Cash, Bonnie Jones and Bernita Cash all of Harrison; Dwaine Campbell of Ridgecrest, Calif., Anita Gray of Winchester, KY, Betsy Bohannon of Pine Bluff, and Candius Barker of Lexington, KY.
Visitation was Tuesday, February 10, 2009 with wervices Wednesday, February 11, 2009, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Burial followed in Love Cemetery at St. Joe.
Jim Arnold officiated.
Pallbearers were Robert Beene, Bill Coe, Joey Jones, Donald Flowers, Darwin Cash, and Hank Brisco.
