June 24, 1936 – July 15, 2018
James Lewis Cantrell, of Harrison, Arkansas completed his work on Earth and has gone home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Twin Lakes Nursing Home at the age of 82.
The son of James and Helen (Shipman) Cantrell was born June 24, 1936 at Everton, Arkansas. He was a member of Olvey Bible Church.
Lewis was in the National Guard and worked in the automotive industry, owning and operating Lair Auto Supply for 15 years. He was well known for his knowledge of tractors and Cub Cadets.
He collected and worked on antique Cub Cadets. He also enjoyed leading gospel singing, spending time with his family and his cats, Kali and Tom. Lewis always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Jason Cantrell.
Lewis is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alma (Watts) Cantrell of Harrison; his daughter, Debra Cason and husband Bob of Valley Springs; his brother, Larry Cantrell and wife Shirley of Harrison; two grandsons, Andy Cason and wife Erica of Conway and Matthew Cason of Harrison; two great grandchildren, Ty and Josie both of Conway; a niece, Kelli Magness of Harrison; nephew, Larry Ross Cantrell of Fort Smith; a sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Vincent, a brother-in-law, Joe Dale Watts and wife Clorine of Prairie Grove and a host of other family and friends who will miss him.
Funeral Services are 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Pastor Bobby Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Cemetery in Everton.
Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Larry Ross Cantrell, Todd Magness, Joe Anderson, Mitch Blankenship, Marvin Holt and Ronnie Carpenter.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Ken Collins, Dr. Gary Linker, Nurses & Staff of Twin Lakes Nursing Home, McDonalds Coffee Breakers, Rusty Wheels Old Engine Club, Olvey Bible Church and Joey Paul.
