James Carl Campbell, 85 of Mount Judea, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.

The son of Kelly and Helen (Jackson) Campbell was born February 6, 1932 at Mount Judea, Arkansas.

James Carl was a member of the Church of Christ and part owner and operator of the Campbell Brother's Sawmill most of his life.  He enjoyed Bluegrass music and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was a good husband, father and grandfather who loved his family very much.  He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

James Carl is survived by his wife of 66 years, Edna Lea (Lively) Campbell of the home; his son, Ron Campbell and wife Gail of Alpena; his daughter, Connie Hill and husband Donnie of Yardelle; two brothers, Charles Campbell of Mount Judea and G.W. Campbell and wife Freda of Jasper; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 16, 2017 at Church of Christ in Mount Judea with Ray Crawford officiating.  Burial will follow at  Sexton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 15, from 5-7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sexton Cemetery Fund.
