IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jacob Wayne
Stephens
October 19, 1977 – November 6, 2024
Jacob Wayne Stephens, of Alpena, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. He was 47 years old.
The son of Ronald Lee and Esther Louise (Doss) Stephens was born on October 19, 1977 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Jacob was a rugged outdoorsman who thrived in the wild, whether he was hunting, fishing, swimming, or tearing through the woods on his four-wheeler. In his younger days, he was a master of all things horse-related, from training and shoeing to dominating the competition in wagon racing and rodeo events. With a tough, no-nonsense exterior, Jacob wasn't one to hold back his opinions, but beneath that hard shell was a man who cared deeply for those around him. He loved fiercely and would go to any length to lend a hand. Jacob had a larger-than-life presence and always knew how to get a good laugh out of people. But the moments that meant the most to him were the ones spent with his family—especially with his wife, Laurel, and his son, Jacob.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eric Stephens; and a sister-in-law, Julie Stephens.
Survivors include his wife, Laurel Stephens; one son, Jacob Lee Paul Stephens; one grandson, River Stephens; one brother, Keith Stephens; a best friend who was considered a brother, Laramy Morrow; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Shiloh Bible Church in Harrison, AR at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
