Obituary
Jackie C. Myers, age 64 of Alpena, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007 at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, AR. The son of Gordon and Charlotte (Hughes) Myers, was born in Missouri on August 17, 1942.
He was a railroad engineer for MN&A Railway and moved here from Illinois 10 years ago. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
His mother preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mary (Periman) Myers of the home; his father, Gordon Myers of Harrison; two sons, Jackie C. Myers, Jr. of Bentonville, and William C. Myers of Illinois; a daughter, Jamie Johnson of Alpena; three step daughters, Bonnie Delaney of Kirbyville, MO, Brenda McAlister of Omaha and Teri Lynn of Bentonville; 2 sisters, Linda Wells of Illinois and Sandy Huysers of Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday, 6-8 PM, with service on Wednesday, 2:00 PM at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel. Scottie Bailey officiated and burial followed at the Omaha Methodist Cemtery.
Pallbearers were Scott McAlister, Nathan Jones, Tony Periman, Kurt Johnson, Dustin McAlister and Thomas Periman Honorary pallbearers were D. R. Periman and Camden Myers.
